Do I need any experience?
No you don’t need any experience, our fundamental class program is going to introduce to you what is BJJ about, what should you expect as a new bee and guide you trough in a best way as possible. Is it safe for my child to train BJJ?
Definitely! BJJ is no doubt one of the best sport/activity for child’s. They will improve they coordination, learn new skills, great and challenging workout without loosing all the fun.
I heard BJJ is full of people who like to hurt each other, is this true?
Maybe in a dodge gym with a bad mentality. Over here you’ll find a very friendly environment with respectful people who look after each other. Violence or bad behavior is not part of our philosophy.


I'm not as young as I used to be, is it too late for me to start?
NO! Since technical skills are prioritized over strength, athletic ability, and speed, your age will be less of a factor than it might be with other sports. However, older adults need to train properly to avoid unnecessary injuries.
BJJ seems to be a very male orientated sport, can a women train Jiu Jitsu?
Women in BJJ classes might be outnumbered. However, if you’re a woman wondering if BJJ is right for you, the answer is a resolute YES. Feel free to come by any time for a 2 week free trial.


What is no gi Jiu Jitsu?
No Gi is a BJJ style in which you don’t have to wear a Gi uniform. Instead, students usually wear clothing made out of elastic materials like polyester but you can also wear regular shorts and a T-shirt. The main difference is you can’t grab your training partner on the cloth, You must use wrestling-based grips and rely on body mechanics, balance, and hand positioning to have a good control over your opponent and is much faster style since is less friction and positional holds.
What is dojo etiquette?
Is a guideline to help you to know how to conduct yourself In the gym. What’s acceptable and what its not. Helps to keep a safe environment and to make sure everyone on the same vibe.


What equipment do I need to begin training?
Short and T-shirt/rash guard for no Gi training and Gi Uniform (Jacket, pants and a white belt). We got you! We have some very cool custom made Rashies and Gi’s to make easier for you. But feel free to get yours from any brand out there.
GYM AREA
In addition to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, you can also use the gym's training area, which has gym machinery, punching bags and other equipment, so you can have a complete experience.
How do I get promoted and how often?
You must show up to training. If you’re consistent and dedicated you’ll be rewarded. In every belt you need to demonstrate some specific relevant knowledge to your skill level. Here at The Brozilian we have 2 review’s per year to see if you ready to receive your stripe. And a average of 2 years to progress to the next belt. This its not a rule and may vary from each individual. Your Coach will know when its time!
